The brand identity for Ensysce Biosciences was developed to visually bridge established scientific rigor with cutting-edge biotech innovation. The objective was to create a logo lockup that communicates trust, clinical precision, and the company’s specialized focus on advanced oral drug delivery mechanisms.
The Logomark
The emblem is a bold, stylized letter “E” constructed with a subtle 3D extrusion and drop shadow, giving it a tangible, architectural presence. The internal negative space and the rounded, stacked horizontal elements subtly evoke the imagery of capsules, pill structures, or controlled-release pathways. This serves as a smart, abstract nod to their proprietary oral delivery technology.
Typography
Primary Type (“Ensysce”): Set in a refined, traditional serif typeface. This typographical choice roots the brand in authority, academic credibility, and medical tradition.
Secondary Type ("biosciences")
Set in a clean, modern sans-serif font and strategically right-aligned. This establishes a clear visual hierarchy, keeping the primary focus on the proprietary name while modernizing the overall aesthetic.
Color Palette
Clinical Blue: The dominant use of a dependable, medium-dark blue across the logomark and primary text communicates stability, technological intelligence, and healthcare-grade trust.
Neutral Grey: The secondary text utilizes a soft grey, offering a grounded contrast that prevents visual competition within the logo lockup.
